The history of music is as old as history itself. It is said, in fact, that music predates language as a form of communication. Music has long been a cohesive force within communities and cultures. But our world has changed, and the musicians’ ability to perform their craft has been severely challenged.
We believe that a corporate business focus has severely damaged the profile of music as a form of cultural expression. We seek to reverse that loss and to rebuild music as a viable, sustainable art form that is central to the community. We recognize that this is a monumental task, so we are focused on making progress one small step at a time.
